Tweaking Crossover Rogers LS 6

I’ve been playing with the rebuilt Rogers LS6 for a while now. The caps have only been replaced in the crossover filter. The core coils and especially in the low frequency section could be better. A fraction thicker copper core wound on a tube with a diameter of 2 cm. The tube is only used for wrapping. The inductive value is kept equal to the original.

Result:

Wow! The lows and especially the mids are better balanced. The middle was there but there was a dip in the mid/low section. With this adjustment, that is now gone. The lows and mids and highs are better balanced. Recommended!

Because the air inductor is considerably larger than the original, the crossover box had to be rebuilt. I chose to use maple and give the cabinet a slightly different look and feel.
